Professor C.S. Agnes Cheng is the Dale Looper Chair in Accounting in the Price College of Business. She was the Chair Professor and Head at the School of Accounting and Finance, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University before joining the University of Oklahoma. She obtained her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Accountancy from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. She has taught at University of Houston and Louisiana State University; and has visited University of Arkansas and Securities and Exchange Commission as a Visiting Scholar. Prof. Cheng’s current research interest focuses on empirical financial accounting research. She published numerous articles including a research monograph (Studies in Accounting Research #29, published by American Accounting Association). She has publications in Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, Journal of Financial Economics, Decision Sciences, Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting, Auditing, A Journal of Practice and Theory, Accounting and Business Research, and Journal of Management Accounting Research. She has served on numerous editorial boards including The Accounting Review and the Contemporary Accounting Research. She is currently serving as Editor for Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance (conference), Journal of International Accounting Research, Associate Editor for Journal of Financial Stability; and as Senior Track Editor for China Accounting and Finance Review. Kalok Chan*

Prior to joining CityU in November 2023, Professor Chan was the Wei Lun Professor of Finance at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, serving as Dean of CUHK Business School from 2014 to 2019 and Chairman of the Department of Finance from 2021 to 2023.
Before that he worked as the Synergis-Geoffrey Yeh Professor of Finance at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where he served as the Head of Finance Department (2003-2013) and Acting Dean of HKUST Business School (2013-14). He was the Founding Director of the HKUST-NYU Stern Joint Master in Global Finance programme. Prior to joining HKUST, he was an Associate Professor of Finance at Arizona State University.
Professor Chan obtained his BSSc in Economics from CUHK, and PhD in Finance from Ohio State University. As a leading scholar and a prominent researcher, he has published in numerous top ranked finance journals, and has been ranked as the top finance researcher in the Asia-Pacific region. His research interests focus on dynamics of asset prices, derivatives, market micro-structure, and international financial markets.
Active on several public bodies in Hong Kong, Professor Chan is a past President of the Asian Finance Association, and currently serves on a number of committees including the Human Capital Committee of HK Financial Services and Development Council, TraHK Supervisory Committee, Hong Kong Academy of Finance and HKIMR Council of Advisers for Applied Research.

William Yu

Dr. William Yu is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of World Green Organisation. He is an energy economist and climate professional by training and completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge. He earned an Executive MBA from the Thunderbird Global Management School, U.S. and completed a Sustainable Finance Programme at Cambridge. Dr. Yu received a Harvard Business School Scholarship for Executive Education in Nonprofit Management. He had gained valuable regional management experience by working at the US multinationals and a financial banking institution.
Dr. Yu is currently Director of Studies of University of Wales Trinity Saint David, supervising doctoral research on ESG disclosure quality of listed companies. He is Advisor on Certified ESG Planner (CEP) qualification. Dr. Yu is BEAM Pro and the Faculty of The Hong Kong Green Building Council and member of CA Expert Panel at BEAM Society. He has been the Adjunct Professor of several universities. Dr. Yu serves as Vice- chairman, Hong Kong Institute of Social Impact Analyst (HKISIA).
Dr. Yu is currently member of Real Estate Working Group, Hong Kong Green Finance Association and Project Leader of Asian Corporate Coalition for Climate Change Resilience (A4CR) for corporate transition to Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Dr. Yu is Expert Member, Investment Committee of two Limited Partnership Funds. He is appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of a publicly listed company.

Vivi Hu

Vivi Hu is the co-founder and CEO of YoujiVest and serves as the Director of the Carbon Neutrality Lab at the Tsinghua Cross-strait Research Institute and Deputy Director of ESG Special Committee of China Enterprise Management Research Association. An early advocate of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and sustainable investment since 2012, she has been at the forefront of developing ESG investable products and analytics for global asset managers, with recent expansions focusing on AsiaPac managers. She is nominated as the 10 finalists of 2023 UBS global Female Founder award.
Prior to the inception of YoujiVest, Ms. Hu held various roles at top-tier financial institutions. Her roles included serving as the Director of Product Sales for AsiaPac at the London Stock Exchange, Head of Fund Rating for AsiaPac at Lipper, and Sales Director for the Greater China Region at FactSet.
Starting in 2021, Ms. Hu has spearheaded the collaboration with the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance to develop China’s inaugural investment-centric, ISSB-aligned climate risk model.
Ms. Hu holds a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering from Durham University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Fudan University.

Dr Allinnettes Go Adigue is the Head of the ASEAN Regional Hub of the Global Reporting Initiative. As Head of GRI’s ASEAN Hub, Ally is tasked to promote the practice of sustainability reporting across the region by working with relevant stakeholders in creating a conducive policy environment for sustainable business practices, foster the business case of sustainability reporting and build the capacity of organizations in sustainability reporting.
A lifelong learner and a global citizen, Ally has lived in 3 continents in the past 15 years. Prior to GRI, Ally has previously worked for the academe, and both the public and private sectors. Eva Chan

Dr. Chan is the Head of Investor Relations of C C Land Holdings Limited (stock code: 1224). She has more than 25 years of experience and was the CFOs and company secretaries of various listed companies in Hong Kong. She is mainly responsible for formulating the IR strategies for the company and conducting meetings with investors and fund managers all over the world. She also leads in a number of corporate finance exercises and corporate restructuring activities.

Darwin Choi

Prof. Darwin Choi is an Associate Professor of Department of Finance at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He was an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance and Associate Director of the Centre for Business Sustainability at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Before joining CUHK in 2016, he was an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He received his PhD degree in Finance from Yale University and BS in Economics and BS in Engineering degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. Prof. Choi’s research examines how institutional details and behavioral factors influence professional and individual investors’ capital allocations and asset prices. His recent work focuses on climate finance and other ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) issues. Prof. Choi’s papers have been published in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and Review of Financial Studies. He has won teaching awards at both CUHK Business School and HKUST Business School.

Ricky Y.K. Chan

Prof. Ricky Chan is the Associate Dean (Education) and Professor of the Division of Business and Hospitality Management at the College of Professional and Continuing Education of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU CPCE). Prior to joining PolyU CPCE, he served as the Head and a professor in the Department of Marketing at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). Before assuming these roles in New Zealand, he worked as a marketing academic at PolyU, including its predecessor, the Hong Kong Polytechnic, for 30 years. His last position at PolyU was Associate Head (Teaching) and Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing.
Ricky received his business education (BBA (Hons), MBA, and PhD) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also acquired his LLB (Hons) and LLM degrees through external study at the University of London and obtained his barrister qualification from The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.
In addition to his extensive and diverse experience in school administration and programme management, Ricky’s excellence in teaching has long been recognised, particularly through his honour of receiving PolyU’s prestigious President’s Award for Excellent Performance and Achievement in Teaching.
Ricky’s research interests lie in green consumption, consumer ethics, and environmental strategies. He is included on Research.com’s list of Best Business and Management Scientists (world’s top 1%). Since 2020, he has also been included on Elsevier BV/Stanford University’s list of the top 2% scientists in the world across all disciplines. According to a study published in the Australasian Marketing Journal in 2017 (Vol. 25, No. 2, pp. 85-96), he was ranked as the world’s 2nd and 3rd most influential author in green consumer research in terms of “total articles” and “total citations” respectively. Ricky also received research awards from Emerald, including the Outstanding Paper Award in 2015, Highly Commended Paper Award in 2006, and the Citation of Excellence in 2004. Furthermore, he was honoured with AUT’s Faculty of Business, Economics and Law Research Team Award in 2021, and the Best Reviewer Award by Psychology and Marketing in 2023. He is currently serving as a Detailed Assessor for the Australian Research Council.

Prof Piyush “Pi” Sharma has more than thirty years’ experience in industry and academia in India, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Before joining Curtin University in Australia as a Professor of Marketing in 2014, he served as Associate Professor of Marketing, Deputy Program Director (MBA), Associate Dean (Internationalization) and Director (Asian Centre for Branding and Marketing) at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
He is now serving as the Regional Editor for Journal of Knowledge Management and Associate Editor for Journal of Business Research and Journal of Services Marketing. He is also a member of the Editorial Review Boards of Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Service Research, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Service Theory and Practice, International Journal of Emerging Markets and Journal of Indian Business Research. He also works very closely with and advises private, public and not-for-profit sector organisations in the areas of community healthcare and well-being, customer services, retail shopping and higher education. Hauman has been involved in the environmental movement in Hong Kong since 1988. He was the Executive Director of Green Power, and managed several environmental projects funded by UNEP from 1993 to 1995. He started an eco-village with the South China Agricultural University in 1995. He worked in a private equity investment company, LESS Limited, that invested in Environmental projects in China from 2004 to 2008. During his working in the private equity fund, he helped to set up the whole investment criteria and standard, and also responsible for deal sourcing, due-diligent, closing deal and ongoing monitoring to improve the standard of the portfolio companies.
He is now heading the ESG team in Ascent Partners and have served more than 50 listing companies in Hong Kong to develop their ESG report.

Jacky Tang

Jacky Tang currently is the managing director and the chief investment officer for an international asset management firm. He heads up various units related to portfolio advisory, investment strategy, and sustainable solutions for Asia. He is responsible for centralized discretionary portfolio management for ultra-high net worth and institutional clients across Asia Pacific. Jacky is also responsible for advising clients on strategic asset allocation, tactical investment strategies, and ESG investment solutions.
Prior to joining the current firm, Jacky worked at Credit Suisse, where he was head of Greater China Equity Research. Prior to that, he was head of Hong Kong Equity Strategy at Merrill Lynch. Earlier in his career, Jacky worked as an investment strategist at Brevan Howard Asset Management, managing an emerging markets hedge fund. Jacky has served as an adjunct professor for the City University of Hong Kong’s department of Economics and Finance and has led a number of workshops in behavioral finance, sustainable finance, financial markets, asset allocation and portfolio management. He also served as the masters dissertation supervisor on sustainable finance for the University of Cambridge. Jacky earned a PhD in Economics from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and a master’s degree in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge.
